Google Killer?

July 31, 2008 · Filed Under Web · Comment  · 299 views

I don’t think so, although CUIL (pronounced Kewl or Cool) is a new up and coming Search Engine, it doesn’t live up to the expectation. Many users have complained of the the poor SERP’s (Search Engine Results Page), results that really don’t have relevance or has poor relevance to the term or phrase being searched for.

The Hype however is caused by the frenzy over it’s creators who were two former Google employees that was instrumental in 2006 TeraGoogle Project. However, some commented that they are just a bunch of guys building a site that they are trying to get bought.

Although it has some nice features such as thumbnails of pages on the search results, topic tab for grouping relevance and multi-column options so you won’t have to scroll much. A Few days ago however they were swamped by visitors, possibly testing out their new Search Engine that it crashed the server and CUIL had to transfer and upgrade to get it back up and running. Check them out and see what you think.

I searched some more and Finally found some Hugh Jackman Interviews on the Comic-Con this year and the rumors started to become true. Now I discovered it’s not X-Men 4, but a spin-off from the X-Men franchise entitled, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The Trailer to this new movie is also shown in comic-con, and to get your juice on it, you just keep reading.

New Marvel Characters were shown in the preview. The Blob, a Young William Striker, Silver Fox, John Wraith played by Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am and Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds. However, I thought they wouldn’t want to show Ryan’s face here since Deadpool is a pretty ugly fella, but Hollywood has a way of spoiling the fun, they made Deadpool look good, gee, please…
