Hi Chris,

Unfortunately, the di622 uses the master/slave mode using TTL. That means it doesn't recognize the CLS command coming from your D90. However if you use TTL on any TTL capable camera like most DSLR have, then you can still use the Di622 as slave for your camera only in TTL mode and not CLS. Just set the flash settings to TTL.

If you want to employ CLS, you need the elder brother of Di622 which is the Nissin Di866. This professional flash can work with your D90 in CLS master mode. The easy guide of the Di866 will tell you exactly how on the menu, since it is really simple. If you have gotten the Di866, then ask again if you want to learn the CLS setting for your D90 and the Di866. Thanks!

Another question: you said to Michael that Flash Nissin Di622 will work out of the chamber by triggering ttl in Canon SX20is. You mean it will not work on camera, just off camera is so? Why? It is because the voltage of the shoe? If you put on shoe may burn the flash. Please explain. Sorry about the translation, I am in Brazil. Thanks

Sorry, only authorized technicians can do that, however If you can find the needed cables inside the battery compartment contacts and the firmware pack, then you can update it your self.

Thanks for the link Chris... I already contacted them. Btw, if I decide on modifying it by myself, what are the needed materials do I need Chris?
Thanks for the help once again...

@Mathieu: Not too sure what establishments can offer you firmware updates in your area, but checkout Nissin's Distributor page and they might be available in your area.

http://www.nissindigital.com/en/distributors.html

As I can see from there and I can absolutely suggest, Try contacting MINOX USA here: http://www.minox.com, I bet they offer your firmware updates...
